A very close pitchers duel between Ryan E of the Athletics and Jacob V of the Reds, until the Swingin' A's broke it open in the fourth with a big five run inning. That would prove to be all the A's would need, as Ryan combined with Cole to shut down the Big Red Machine. Justin G pushed across the only run for the Reds with a RBI single in the fourth. The Athletics also got some great defensive help from Ethan behind the plate and Gold Glove quality plays from James B at second.
