Concord American Baseball
Game Summary Minor Division
Red Sox vs Giants - May 18, 2013
Giants 6 - Red Sox 3

Great game played by both teams. The Giants started the game with scoring the 1st run in the 1st inning, and the Giants pitching, led by Marcos in the 1st 2 innings, held the Red Sox scoreless until the 4th inning.

With the Giants leading 3-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning, Clay Van Sickle hits a towering fly ball to left center and drove in 2 runs to tie the score at 3-3.

The Giants however stayed resilient and scored 3 more combined runs in the 5th and 6th innings, and Hawk Benevent came in as the closer to close the game out. The Red Sox threatened to take the lead in the bottom of the 5th inning when Devon Patry hit a sky high fly ball to Center Field, which would've scored at least one run, but Fox Stewart came out of nowhere as quick as a "fox" to track the fly ball and made the catch for an out.

The Redsox threatened again in the 5th inning with the bases loaded with 2 outs with one of their biggest hitters up, Jack. Jack hits a monstrous hit to centerfield, and Fox was on the move again! This time making a sliding catch for the 3rd out, and keeping the Red Sox from scoring!

Great game played by both teams!
