Wow what a pitching gem we all witnessed in this second game, it was epic. Devon from the Red Sox and Hawk from the Giants were locked in, and both pitched amazing games. We went 6 full innings and the score at the end was 5 -1, but the game was even closer than the score indicated. Devon pitched a complete game throwing 82 pitches in the 6 innings. He faced 23 batters and struck out 16. The one batter Devon could not control was Marcos from the Giants. Marcos went 2 for 2 with a triple and a single. The Red Sox also welcomed Gavin back to the lineup. Gavin broke his arm right before the start of the season, and this was his first game back. He promptly went 2 for 2 from the plate and also played great in the field. Welcome back Gavin, we missed you and are glad to have you back.
