Clayton Valley handed the Cardinals only their 5th loss of the season, winning 6-4. Led by the dominating pitching of CV's Adam Moody, "Big Blue" led the entire game. With the score 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th, CV tacked on 2 more insurance runs, with P Vinay Narayanan finishing off the Cardinals in the 6th & 7th. CV had a chance to put the game away early with bases loaded & 2 out in the bottom of the 4th, but LF Kyle Glantz was picked off 3rd base by Cardinals C Alejandro Lopez. Lopez was intentionally walked twice in the game.

With 2 outs & 2 runners in scoring position in the top of the 7th, RF Matt Osterkamp fielded a hard hit ball on one hop in the outfield & threw out the runner at first to end the game.
