Today we were blessed with perfect baseball weather. The Rockies played very hard and with class. The Cubs played well on both sides of the ball. Hawk "The Claw" Benevent gave our fans something to cheer about with a home run in the second inning. Cooper "The Big Hurt" Kawalkowski(Ka-wal-kow-ski) got some great hits and pitched great for his first game. Coach Mo for the Rockies was absent today and his howling and heckling was sorely missed. The fields looked something out of a movie thanks to the man, the myth, the legend.....Bob "THE GOPHER" Perry. I don't know how he does it. Thanks Bob!
