Light showers couldn’t keep the A’s and Cardinals from playing 5 tough innings. The Cards took the lead 2-0 after one inning, 5-3 after two innings and were clinging to a 5-4 lead entering the 4th inning as they struck out 6 A’s batters over 3 innings. The A’s only struck out 2 more times in the next two innings as they scored 5 runs in the 4th and 5th innings while holding the Cardinals to two runs in each inning. The A’s were batting in the top of the 6th leading 14-9 when the red light went off. The A’s were led in pitching by Joey McClintock (3K's), Josh Chapman (2K's) and Kaipo Vevera (2K's).

The A’s hitting attack was led by Alanah Forrest (1B), Nick Armstrong (1B, 2B, 2 RBI), Josh Burton (1B), Mark Gonzalez (1B), Christopher Neely (HR, 2RBI), Kaipo Vevera (2-1B, RBI), Otto Steindorf (2B, 2RBI) and Nick Ferreira (RBI). The Cardinals were led with hits from Gabriel Vesnecki and Mitch Hofer, and pitching from Mark Haines, Wesley Trombetta, Mitch Hofer, Angelina Santana and Gabriel Vesnecki.
