2007 Major Division Rules
On Deck Batters are not permitted
on the field or in the caged area next to the bullpen.
Managers & Coaches must
remain inside the dugout when not coaching a base; dugout gate must be
kept closed & latched.
a) Batters shall not
fake a bunt, pull back and hit away in the Major Division.
Penalty: Batter shall
be called out, whether or not contact was made with the pitch.
(Batter must swing to be
called out)
b) Pitchers will be removed
from pitching after hitting two (2) batters in an inning or three
(3) batters in a game. That
player however, can remain in the game at a different position.
c) Post game each manager
shall examine the official scorebook and sign the opposing teams score
page if in agreement that the opposing team has achieved the minimum play
requirements

b) If a player pitches
in less than four (4) innings one calendar day of rest is mandatory If
a player pitches in four (4) or more innings, three (3) calendar days of
rest must be observed. A player may pitch in a maximum of six (6) innings
in a calendar week, Sunday through Saturday.
Delivery of a single pitch
constitutes having pitched an inning.
c) Only three players
of league age twelve (12) may be used as pitchers during a calendar week.
All three may pitch in one or more or more games, but each is limited to
a total of six (6) innings within the calendar week and subject to rest
periods described in section (b). The TOTAL number of innings pitched by
twelve (12) year old pitchers shall not exceed twelve (12) innings in a
calendar week.
d) A player once removed
as a pitcher may not pitch again in the same game.
e) Not more than five (5)
pitchers per team shall be used in one game.
f) Violation of any
section of this regulation can result in protest of the game in which it
occurs. Protest shall be made in accordance with playing rule 4.19.
Doubleheaders – PITCHERS
The limitation of six (6)
innings in a calendar week would apply to each pitcher. A pitcher who pitched
in the first game of a doubleheader may also pitch in the second game provided
that pitcher has eligibility remaining.
