What a beautiful afternoon for baseball. The Mets and Red Sox played 5 innings of great baseball. Josh Burton of the Mets got the Game Ball for going 2 for 2 and playing very well on defense. The Mets held the potent Red Sox offense down with outstanding pitching by Victoria Scalfaro and Ryan Parisi. Joey McClintock made one of the best defensive plays of the year at SS by snagging a hard hit grounder up the middle and taking it to the bag for an out.
