Another close one at the AAA fields. The Red Sox
ended the first inning with 3 runs. In the second inning Chris Carr from the
Astros tied the score with a homerun into the outfield almost hitting the fence.
This was the most amazing hit we have seen thus far in the season. Ryan Castagna
came up to the plate and hit another homerun, making it the 2nd one of the day
for the Astros. The Astros bats were smokin'.
On the Red Sox Dominic Ceja hit a smashing homerun straight down into right
field. This was a great hit that had the Astros running to retrieve the ball.
James Dempsey also had commendable hits scoring 2 runs.
The bats weren't the only things on fire. The pitchers pitched an unbelievable
game. Mason Knight and Brevin Schmidt both from the Astros had 4 strike outs
each in 3 innings. Alejandro Lopez from the Red Sox pitched an awesome first few
innings.
The catchers are on fire as well. If it weren't for their skill and quick
response to the balls being thrown, both teams would have scored more runs.
Thank you to Chris Carr on the Astros, and Nick Morgan on the Red Sox for
providing spine-tingling efforts behind home plate.
Congratulations to Chris Carr for winning the game ball for having an excellent
offensive night.
