The bats came alive in this exciting game
between the Royals and the Pirates. The teams combined for 25 hits!
In the end the Royals won 9-5.
All the Royals helped get this win. Conner led
the way with two hits, including a triple to the outfield, and
scored twice earning him the Game Ball. Hunter had 3 hits and
3 RBIs, Cameron had two hits, including a double RBI.
Grant, Alex, and Kevin all had two hits for
the Royals. Brittany and Abel also had a hit each. Nikki also had a
2 RBI single and Lauren also had an RBI. Great pitching by
Kevin, Lauren, and Nikki for the Royals.
The Pirates seemed to really "step-up to the
plate" when their backs were to the wall. Scoring 3 runs in the 3rd
with two outs on three consecutive doubles by Tyler, Ben, and Frank.
Each player also scored. Then with two outs in the the 4th,
the Pirates scored 2 more runs.
Joey had 2 hits. Vincent had 2 RBI single.
Zach had a single and Leamon had a single and scored.
Great Coaching on both sides of the field.
Perfect umpiring, scorekeeping and announcing.
