In the first game of a Saturday double header the A’s kept the game close for 4 innings but the Mets exploded for 7 runs in the 5th and 6th innings to win 10-3.
 
The A’s Andy Rouse threw 3 innings of 2 hit ball striking out 5. The Mets Ricky Montoya matched him with 3 scoreless innings of his own although the A’s had baserunners in every inning. Montoya, Brandon Peterson, Mike Collodel and Zack Foy scattered 6 A’s hits.
 
The heart of the Mets offense was devastating. Thomas Roccanova (2 runs), Mike Collodel (3 runs), Justin Chisholm (3 runs), Ricky Lloyd (1 run) and Zack Foy (1 run) scored for the Mets.
 
Payden Dickerson, Tanner Chatterley and Zack Ramicone all scored for the A’s.
