Yankees came out swinging in the first inning with 5 singles and 2 RBI's. They
continued to hold us scoreless with great pitching by Josh Weins and Parker
Burr, and fielding through 4 innings.
Bottom of the fifth the score was 0-3 Yankees, but Jack Miller took one for
the A's, with Antonio Scardina following next with a double and RBI. Hunter
Lockhart also got a double. Jaymz Green kept fouling until he singled and
brought Antonio home. Score was 2-3 Yankees, with Hunter on 3rd, Jaymz on 1st.
Philip Turnipseed cracked it with a 2 out, 2 strike In-the-Park-Homerun to
right center field to win the game 5-3 A's. Our fans went wild!
