hits but timely walks, a few errors and a sac fly from Nathan Horton provided
the Mets with the runs they needed to defeat the Mariners 2 – 1.
Sarah Morales scored the first run
after a walk, passed ball and single from Jacob Gartner, Brandon Peterson
singled to drive her in. A few innings later Nathan Horton’s sac
fly plated Justin Chisholm with the Mets second run.
Thomas Roccanova and Mike Collodel
scattered 4 hits and struck out 12 Mariners batters.
For the Mariners, Kevin Graham pitched
five great innings and Devin Knoll was the offensive star with a single
and double. Ryan Welsh and Ian McShea also doubled for the Mariners.
