Ricky Montoya singled to tie the score in the second inning, Ricky Medrano later scored the go ahead run and Thomas Roccanova completed the scoring with the third run and the Mets went on to beat the Cardinals 3 ­ 1. Mike Collodel and Ricky Lloyd combined to strike out 9 Cardinals batters.

Christian Kaplan scored the Cards lone run and Daniel Golden threw one inning, striking out 2 Mets batters.
