The
Angels came out swinging with four runs on five hits in the top of the
first to take a quick lead. But, Devin McNally soon erased the deficit
with a booming grand slam home run to left field to tie the game. Brother
Ryan McNally followed that with a line drive double to right-center field
and scored on a passed ball to give the Giants a 5-4 lead they would not
give up.Quincy Conn and Daniel Golden combined to shut out the Angels the
rest of the way. Adding to the Giants offense was a triple by James Heller,
two singles by Ryan Nordlie, and a single by Conn. For the Angels, Brandon
Kearney had two singles, and Tyler Peters, Alex Bravo, Austin Bodily, and
Greg Kling all singled.
