The Angels scored 3 runs in the second inning without benefit of a hit as the Angels scored twice on Mets miscues and Kyle DeBacker walked 6, the last forcing in a run and the Angels went on to win 6 - 2.
 
Nick Tkachenko pitched 3 scoreless innings in relief of Bobby Morales. Michael Lord doubled and scored on Matt Roby's inside the park homer down the right field line. Seth Chatterley completed the scoring on a delayed steal and error by the Mets.
