The Yankee bats came alive in this final meeting between
the Yankees and Dodgers.
The Yankees jumped on top with 4 runs in the first, 2 in the second, 2 in the
third, and 3 in the 4th. Miles Harrison pitched 3 scoreless innings (aided by
several great defensive plays) to start the game before the Dodgers broke
through for 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th.
Both the Yankees and Dodgers then scored 3 runs each in the 5th inning before a
scoreless 6th inning ended the game at 15-5 for the Yankees.
Miles Harrison had 4 hits, including a triple while Alex Alvarado, Jack Noftzger
and Jordan Bidwell each contributed 3 hits. Also contributing to the offense
were Nolan Brekle (2 hits and a walk), Sid Stratton with a hit, walk, and
sacrifice, Brandon Rosemont with 2 hits and a walk, Kevin Lara with one hit,
Ricky Coleman with 2 walks, and Michael Solero and Trever Rivera with one walk
each.
The Dodgers had several strong hits and several possible hits that became outs
because of excellent defense. Thanks to both teams for excellent sportsmanship.
