Excellent pitching and defense dominated this low-scoring
game between the Yankees and the Red Sox.
The Yankees scored 1 run in the 1st on a walk by Alex Alvarado and hits by Sid
Stratton and Jack Noftzger. They added another run in the 2nd on a single by
Brandon Rosemont, a couple of groundouts by Jordan Bidwell and Ricky Coleman,
and an RBI single by Max Susanto.
In the 4th, the Yankees completed their scoring on singles by Jordan Bidwell and
Max Susanto and a double by Miles Harrison.
Miles Harrison and Jack Noftzger each pitched 3 scoreless innings to complete
the first shutout of the season. Vince Rosado and Alegandro Lopez of the Red Sox
also pitched well to keep the Red Sox close.
Sid Stratton had 3 hits, Jordan Bidwell was on base 3 times, scoring 2 of the
Yankee runs, and Max Susanto had 2 hits. Several Yankees had excellent defensive
plays, including Nolan Brekle, Alex Alvarado, Sid Stratton, and Miles Harrison.
Game ball went to Parker Burr who has been doing a great job as an assistant
coach after breaking his arm to end his chances of playing this season.
