The Dodger's combined good pitching with solid defense to
win their second game of the season. Will Burton and Dylan Parisi led the way,
limiting the Yankees to one run in the first five innings. Zachary Summers
pitched a solid 6th inning to close out the game, with Elijah Summers doing a
superb job in the catcher's position.
Excellent pitching by Miles Harrison and Nolan Brekle kept the Yankees in the
game. The Yankees threatened in several innings, with 2 hits from Trever Rivera
and timely hitting by Ricky Coleman who scored the lone Yankees run. As the
Yankees threatened in the 4th and 5th innings, Matthew Hollenbeck teamed up with
Xana Luehs and Abby Burton on several 6-4 and 6-3 outs, to keep the Yankees from
chipping further into the Dodger's lead.
Excellent sportsmanship was displayed by all players, as the Yankees and Dodgers
evened up their season series 1-1. I am sure that both teams are looking forward
to the rubber match on April 28th.
