Concord American Baseball
Game Summary AAA Division
Red Sox vs Yankees  - March 24, 2007
Yankees 9  -  Red Sox 8

This was an exciting, extra-inning game. The Yankees stormed out to an 8-3 lead after 2 innings, highlighted by a triple by Miles Harrison and a long sacrifice fly by Sid Stratton (great catch in the outfield by the Red Sox to save more runs from being scored). The Red Sox then rallied back to tie the score 8-8 in the 3rd inning.

Great pitching by Dominic Ceja of the Red Sox and Kevin Lara and Nolan Brekle of the Yankees kept the score tied until the bottom of the 7th inning, when the Yankees finally broke through for the winning run. Ricky Coleman walked, then went to 3rd on a hit by Alex Alvarado. Kevin Lara then brought the winning run home with a ground ball towards 1st base.

Great defense and pitching by both teams in this exciting, early-season game. Game ball went to Kevin Lara for his inning of scoreless pitching and the game-winning RBI.
