In a tight ballgame, the Mets held off the
Yankees to win 7-5. Zachary Foy earned his fifth win without a
loss, allowing the Yankees two runs on two hits thru three
innings. Nathan Horton got the save by striking out six, and
walking none for the last three. The Mets were led on offense by
leadoff hitter Weston Peters-Ring, who got on base four times
including a triple, single and two runs scored. Brandon Peterson
added two singles and two runs, while Ricky Montoya and Austin
Bodily had RBI singles as well. For the Yankees, Derek Fry had
two singles and a run, Ken Falkenstrom had two singles and two
runs, and Ammiel Ocampo had three hits, including two doubles
and two runs.
