The Giants played a strong game with great hitting and
outstanding pitching. They were really on their game. Both teams showed good
sportsmanship, and played their best.
For the Giants, Douglas Cherry and Kevin Koenig managed
a run for each of their at bats. Kyle Zywicki, Austin Rogers, Sam Paananen,
Danny Lopez and Jordan Bidwell also added to the score. Austin Rogers did his
part defensively, by striking out nine batters! Max Teranenstruck out four
batters in one and a third innings, before the game was called for darkness.
For the A’s Eric Carlson got the A’s only run. Domanic
Glenn was a part of all three outs in the second inning, striking out two
players and fielding a ball to David Hollenbeck at first for the tag. Likewise
Jack Brown struck out one player and threw to Andy Mavrakos at first for two
of the outs in the third inning. Mario Reyes struck out a batter in the fourth
inning and David Hollenbeck showed how to play the catcher position by getting
a great tag at the plate.
