This was a game for the ages, probably the best game of
the year for the Minor League. The Yankees prevailed over the Tigers in the
end with a score of 10 - 6. Even though the score was high this was a pitching
duel from the start. Devin McNally, Will Bonnington & Alex Cummings for the
Tigers combined to strike-out 11 Yankees while Alex Bates, Daniel Sullivan &
Codey Bertlin combined to strike-out 7 Tigers.
The Yankees were led on offense by Alex Bates who had a
single, double & triple followed by Ammiel Ocampo who had a single & a triple
and Jemuel Adams & Codey Bertlin who had 2 singles each and Justin Baumgartner
who had his first hit of the year.
For the Tigers the offense came from Ryan Nordlie who
had 2 singles followed by Alex Cummings, Devin McNally, Ryan McNally & Will
Bonnington who all had 1 hit each.
