The first game of the season was played up until the 3rd inning in the rain. Pitchers from both teams, Cubs Brandon Oswald and Yankees Cody Burtland, made excellent outs at first. Solid base hits were made by Cubs players Cameron Wyatt and Alex Temple.  The game was suspended, due to rain, after 2 innings of play with the Yankees ahead of the Cubs 6-1. The game will be scheduled for completion at a later date.
