Welcome to the 2004 season of Concord American Little League.  March 27th marked our opening day and we would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who worked very hard for many months to make the day a huge success.  In addition, board memebers along with managers, coaches, and parent volunteers have been working extremely hard to get the fields in shape for the upcoming season.  The fields have never looked better!!  Thanks to President Mark Lloyd and Auxiliary Director Kathy Sheehan for coordinating this wonderful event.  We are always reminded that Little League can only exist because of its volunteers.  Please continue to support the Board of Directors by assisting in any way possible.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Opening Day 2004 was the best we have ever seen!  What a tremendous turnout.  The kids seem to have really enjoyed themselves and this was a great way for people to get to know each other.  Attendance was estimated at over 1000 people and we estimate we served close to 700 people at the BBQ.

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to make this day a success.  We had a lot of people out in force starting on Friday afternoon and everyone continued on throughout opening day.  We had a lot of help cleaning up as well

Thank you to Officer Nye for his great welcome and motivation for our kids and parents.  It is so great to have our local police behind our efforts for the kids and a part of this great day.

I would like to take a moment to thank the opening day committee, which consisted of Mark Lloyd, Tim Hovland, Phil Chapman, Crystal Jost, Shirley Morales, and myself.  It takes a lot of people to pull off a day such as Saturday and I would like to say thank you for your endless hours of work and dedication.  Thank you also to Chris Sheehan, Chris Oswald, Ken and Theresa Bangert and their team that helped make the BBQ a huge success!

I am looking forward to a great season!  See you all at the fields.
