Mikie Bottini threw 4 shutout innings with 3 walks and had 2 hits while scoring one to lead the Angels to a 3 - 1 win over the Yankees.  Andy Rouse threw one inning with 3 K's and Bobby Morales came on in the sixth, with the tying run at the plate and no outs, to squash a Yankees threat and get the save.
 
Drew Farley had three hits and scored twice, Bottini had 2 hits, scored once and Morales had two hits for the Angels but the big hit came from Nico Callejas who singled with the bases loaded in the fifth inning to drive in the eventual 2 winning runs. Callejas was on base 3 times in the game.
 
Mario Duran gave up only 1 Angels run in five strong innings of work for the Yankees.
