The Giants scored five in the first inning behind Brandon Petersons'3-run inside the park home run to hold off the Red Sox, 11-4. The game was still close at 5-3 in the fourth inning when the Giants scored four more runs and Daniel Golden and Peterson allowed just one run in their four innings of work.Contributing to the Giants offense, Devin McNally had two singles, and Quincy Conn, Kevin Kennedy, and Michael Penovich all singled. The Red Sox had a triple from Russell Mundy and a single from Drew Myers.
