The Angels beat a tough veteran Mets team 7-3 behind a 3 run first and second innings. Bobby Morales ran his record to 3-0 with a complete game victory. On a day were he did not have his best stuff, he posted 12 K's while walking 5. He also gave up 5 hits. He also went 1 for 2 with 2 rbis, 2 runs scored, and 2 walks. Mikie Bottini stayed hot by adding 2 hits (including a double,) an RBI, and a run. Drew Farley went 2 for 3, 1 run, including an 2 run double. Andy Rouse scored twice and added a triple. Victor Alcala-Kellogg scored a run and had a solid inning behind the plate.
 
In the first, Rouse opened up with a triple, and Morales followed with a single to drive him home. Bottini doubled home Morales and Farley singled home Bottini. Callejas followed with an RBI groundout after Bottini advanced on a wild pitch.
 
In the second, Austin Clark walked, Rouse walked, Morales walked, Bottini popped up and Farley followed with a 2 run double. He later stole home on a perfectly executed delayed steal.
 
Morales continued to work in and out of trouble, walking 2 and giving up 2 hits in the 2 run second. In the fifth Morales gave Kyree Morganstein and intentional pass to load the bases, but beared down to strike out the following batter holding a 6-3 lead. Morganstein had 2 hits.
