 Angels vs Yankees  - April 6, 2004
Angels 9  -  Yankees 4

Despite a 2 run homer by Paloma Woods the Angels defeated the Yankees 9 4 on the strength of Bobby Morales’ 12 strikeout, one hit pitching performance and multiple hit days from Mikey Bottini, Andy Rouse, Drew Farley and also Bobby Morales.

Andy Rouse started for the Angels and struck out the first 2 hitters of the game. He ran into some trouble in the second and was relieved by Bobby who struck out 2 to leave the bases loaded.

In the third a catcher’s interference between 2 strikeouts was followed by a hard drive down the left field line by Paloma Woods that hit the foul pole for a homerun. This put the Yankees up 4 3 but was the last hit of the day by the Yankees.

The Angels rallied for 4 runs in the 4th and another in the 5th for the final score.  Austin Carlos threw well as the Yankees starting pitcher, striking out 6 in 3 innings
