In a tight defensive battle, the Cards benefited in the first inning by a close play at home scoring on a double by Kevin Chase to take the early lead.  The Cards followed that with 4 runs in the 2nd.  However, the Yankees battled back with 3 runs in the 4th & 5th innings thanks to a double and single by Andy Sansoe.  The Yankess had 2 runners on base in the 5th, before Shaun Duckworth came in to strike out the last 2 batters for the save.  Offesive highlights were 2 doubles and 2 RBI's by Willy Rego, and doubles by Kevin Chase and Andrew Gardner.  Kevin Chase got the win with 2 shut-out innings and Andrew Gardner & Willy Rego pitched a strong 3 innings in relief.
