The 2004 Little League Major Division season started with an Angels 4 ­ 0 win over the Mariners.  Bobby Morales had a day as he accounted for 13 of the Mariners 15 outs.  He went 5 innings, struck out 11, walked 0, and scattered 3 hits. He also had 2 fielding assists. He doubled and scored to cap his day. Mike Bottini went 3 for 3 with a double while Zack Ramicone and Andy Rouse also doubled. Defensively, Drew Farley was outstanding behind the plate. The Mariners were led by Shawn Flannery and Ryan Welsh offensively. Devin Knoll had fine play defensively for the Mariners.
