The
Mets were led to their second win of the season by excellent pitching by
Andrew Gartner who struck out 14, and gave up only 1 hit. This combined
with timely hitting and patience at the plate by Jacob Gartner and Johnathan
Adams led to 4 runs combined in the 3rd and 6th inning. The Mariners
were led by their pitching as well. Brodie Osborne stuck out 8 and
gave up only 4 hits and was also responsible for the Mariners only hit.
The Mariners threatened twice during the contest with assertive base running
and agressive stealing.
