Concord American 7 - Pittsburg National 3

In their first test in All Star competition, Concord American looked pretty sharp in a 7 to 3 win over Pittsburg National.  After giving up a lead-off triple to the first batter of the game, Dennis Quinlin settled in and pitched 4 strong shut-out innings allowing only a few base runners.  Matt Barroso came on in relief in the 5th with 2 runners on base and 2 out to shut down the Pittsburg threat.  Kevin Galindo pitched the final inning to end the game.

Timely hitting combined with good defense by Concord American led to the easy victory over Pittsburg.  The next game in this division is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10th in Lafayette.  The game will begin at 6:00 pm.

(If you kept score and want to send me the hitting highlights or any photos that you may have taken, please do so and I will include them here.)
