The Angels and Giants battled in a very close contest that went the full 6 innings. The Angel's hurlers, Matt Bishop and Matt Roby, combined for a no hit performance while giving up only 2 runs.
Chris Golini doubled in the top of the 2nd and moved to 3rd on a passed ball. He scampered home with the first run on head's up base running when the catcher over-threw the pitcher.
With the score 1 to 0 the Angel's bats came alive in the top of the 3rd. Matt Roby walked and moved to second on a single by Michael Lord. With runners on first and second and 2 out, Westley Weinstock smacked a single over 2nd base which scored 2 runs to extend the Angel's lead to 3 to 2.
But the Giants battled back scoring 2 in the bottom of the 3rd. The score remained 3 to 2 until the top of the 6th. With two on and 2 out, Matt Roby hit a solid double scoring 2 runs to make the score 5 to 2. The Giants were unable to score in their half of the 6th and the game ended with a score of 5 to 2.
