This was a great game. Strong pitching, timely hitting, and very good defense were keys in this game. The Angels took a 7-3 lead going into the top of the 6th after a Andrew Gardner bases clearing double down the right field line. But the Braves didn't quit, and with the bases loaded and two outs, Ayden Ruiz hit a hard liner towards shortstop and it got through for two run base hit. Mark Cosgrove followed with another 2 run single to right field and the Braves tied the game at 7. Then it was the Angels turn not to quit and were able to get the leadoff batter on base and he was able to advance all the way to third. The Braves then intentionallyalked the bases loaded and also the game winning run. The Angels win 8-7 in a hard fought game that neither team deserved to lose. Both teams have identical 5-4 records after 9 games down and 11 to go.
